That would be -25F for us down here in the tropics.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 08:09 |

Except with the windchill, that makes it negative “oh gods why, why have you foresaken us”.

Oh man, do I not miss Canada haha
![]() 01/11/2017 at 08:12 |

That is the record low we hit in my area of Ohio in 1996. Been close since but I think I’ve only seen it down to -19ºf in past 10-12 yrs.

Lucky!
We’re only supposed to reach 23° (73° F) tomorrow
Full disclosure — we did have ice 5 days ago, briefly. Thank God it’s back to sanity now

“Ice crystals” is a weather condition???
![]() 01/11/2017 at 08:44 |

People shouldn’t live in a climate that gets that cold.

it’s warm here today
but it was -32 before yesterday.

I should rip someone’s Canada Goose off their back and give it to you because those jackets are everywhere here and not even being used to anywhere near their full potential.

I don’t know how to adjust windchill from funny Canada metric wind.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 09:41 |

Edmonton is downright balmy compared to that.

It’s 3C here and it was raining all night last night. All the oppo fun powder is gone from the ground.

Hah, thanks. I bought my current boots and got my parka specifically because I knew that it was going to get cold during my trip.

I am somewhat north west of saskatoon. But because we use daylight savings time the sun rises here at 8:45 am. If we didn’t it would be 9:45 am lol.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 10:22 |

It was like that here yesterday, although it was only -26.

I don’t live here, but I’ve got an interview in the city and I’m prepared to suffer through this weather for a good job.

Take it back, please.

You’re GTA, right? I’ve dealt with Toronto’s winter, and then came here for a week. You probably understand how unprepared I am.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 10:31 |

But Canada misses you.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 10:31 |

Oui, monsieur.

Well with the later sunset, that wouldnt be so bad. I could care less if the sun is up before lunch time anyways since I dont see it at all. But having it when I get home from work would be nice.

The weather is broken here.

I’m jealous.
![]() 01/11/2017 at 13:21 |

It’s not supposed to be like this. It was 40 degrees colder yesterday
![]() 01/11/2017 at 13:43 |

Jeez. The weather has some real mood swings right now.

Should I cancel my holiday plans?

Summers in edmonton are epic.
Between about May 11th and July 31 we don’t even technically get “real” night.
The sun goes down, but between 12 am and 2-30 -3 am it’s only something called astronomical twilight, which means you’ll still see a little light on the horizon, not completely dark like true night.
https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/different-types-twilight.html
It’s not quite the midnight sun, but the sun rises just past 4am and sets just past 10pm. It’s fantastic.
